As women, the art of listening to the self begins the quest toward seeing ourselves more clearly, moving with enhanced fluidity through life, having a greater sense of fulfillment and expanding our own enlightenment. By honoring a dialogue of daily spiritual meditations and deeply introspective questions, we discover the power of the feminine…

In over 2,500 years, The Feminine Light is the first translated version of The Tao Te Ching written by a woman specifically for Women. The author provides after each of the poetic 81 verses thoughtfully profound questions to assist the reader in coming to understand the material – the philosophy of the Tao. By immersing oneself in The Tao, one is able to come to know oneself. A companion for life…

Praise for The Feminine Light:

“It’s a lovely book. For women around the world, the questions raised in The Feminine Light are profound ones. The Tao, this universal and intimate balance, is at the heart and soul of our work through NoVo. Thank you for sharing!”
The Tao Te Ching, written by Lao-Tzu, a Chinese philosopher who lived in the 6th century B.C., is a simple yet deeply rich book containing 81 verses relating to the ways of nature. They speak to the truths of the universe in order to help you find your path and to live your life in harmony with yourself and others. The Tao (pronounced Dao) loosely translated into English from Chinese means the “way, path or truth,” an all-embracing truth present everywhere revealing the laws of nature, the polarities of existence, Yin-Yang, Darkness and Light.

In The Feminine Light, following each of the newly translated verses, there are thoughtfully profound questions to assist in understanding and living the material – the philosophy of the Tao. By immersing oneself in the Tao, one is able to come to know oneself. A companion for life…

I was just was called for Jury Duty and was found out I was a potential juror for a three week or more trial. I was thinking that was a long time, but if I could learn something by the experience it might be interesting. In the end, I was excused from the juror pool along with some ten or so others. The case was regarding the letting go of an employee after some 35 years or so employment. The employer was being sued by the plaintiff for letting her go on the grounds of discrimination: age and disability. I had given the case some thought over the two days as a prospective juror and I said to the court…

“It seems to me this case is about three things:

1. Aging – How does one experience getting older?
2. Change – Is one a victim of it or accepting of it if agreements have been honored? And…
3. Self-ownership and accountability – Are the issues of the plaintiff having to do with a sense of self-worth, security or rather fear of change, the unknown and darkness, fearing the uncertainty of the opportunity for growth or a potential new experience of loving?

Other than addressing the broad question of the best way to support and manage “communal good”, the only question for me in this case is whether or not agreements were honored, regardless of whether the employer’s choice of management style is effective or not in meeting goals.”

Here’s my question: If California is an At-Will State, how can there be any grounds for discrimination? I support the underdog if an abuse of power has occurred, I believe in Unions to negotiate for the best interest of all those involved and I am very compassionate toward the suffering of others, have I missed something here?

We have just opened the Renaissance Marketplace and I will be hand choosing more products offering insight for The New Renaissance Woman.

The March Feature has been up for a few days… REFLECTIONS: WOMEN’S MYTHOLOGY, FAIRY TALES, STORIES AND AN INTRODUCTION TO CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTES.

We will be adding to our Menu soon The Da Vinci’s Muse Lifestyle which will highlight:
Home and Adventure, Health and Beauty, Exercise and Sensuality, Self-Development and Relationships – a lifestyle menu at your fingertips.

I was just thinking…there are many women out there who have pearls of wisdom from their experience and if you would like to share that wisdom with other women, it might be a good idea to collect these quotes and add them to the quotes prepared by Da Vinci’s Muse. It also might be fun for you to see your quotes with your name shared with others. If you would like to share, please send us an e-mail at Lane@DaVincisMuse.com with a quote from you and your name.

Also, if you are like me, I love costumes for ALL occasions, so I thought I would introduce you to a store where you can purchase most any type of costume your heart desires.

Wishing you sunshine…
